A friend told me, when I’d just had my first child, that I should treat him as though he were my fourth. I didn’t have a clue what she was talking about, until I had four kids – then I knew exactly what she meant; basically that whatever you might think, actually, you’ve got this.
So my advice to ANY mother; whether she’s a first timer like my friend Spencer’s wife Vogue Williams, or whether she has a whole brood, is to take some time each day for yourself. Don’t feel guilty about it. A happy Mommy is the key to a happy home.
As a songwriter, recording artist and mumpreneur, I have an office in my home. My door is always open, but my family respect that I am working too.
